National Burger Day
There is a hearty list of classic American comfort foods, with the burger at the top of the food chain. Whether stacked with bacon, cheese, avocado or even an egg — or enjoyed with just a pickle and dollop of ketchup — it’s a sandwich that satisfies even the pickiest eaters!
August 25, 2022 is a day to celebrate that beloved sandwich. There are restaurants nationwide that are paying homage to the classic in various ways.

Cooking the perfect burger
National Burger Day is a day to understand the deliciousness of burgers! Here are a few tips on how to cook the perfect burger:
First and foremost, make sure your burger is properly seasoned. Add salt, pepper, and any other spices you like to your burger before cooking. This will give it a unique flavor and enhance the texture. Make sure to work the seasoning into the meat. Once pattied, season both sides again prior to grilling. Trust us, you can never have too much flavor.
Secondly, be sure to cook your burger to the right temperature. Overcooking your burger will result in a dry, tough patty. Burgers that are cooked too slowly also tend to be less flavorful. Aim for an internal temperature based on your personal preference (see chart below). The key is to maintain juiciness.
Last but not least, make sure your bun is toasted correctly. Toasting the bun will add a layer of flavor and prevent it from becoming soggy. Simply place the bun on a lightly oiled grill or in a toaster oven, and wait until it becomes lightly browned.
