Originally known as Foran Spice Company and subsequently Asenzya®, was originally located on First Street in Milwaukee, WI. At the beginning, Asenzya primarily serviced the meat industry in the Milwaukee area. The strong European influence in the city afforded Asenzya the opportunity to experience many different ethnic varieties of sausages and lunch meats, which gave Asenzya its foundation in serving meat and sausage companies. As Asenzya continued to grow, the headquarters moved to Oak Creek, Wisconsin in 1970. This new location gave Asenzya the room to expand its plant processing capacity, research and development, and quality assurance operations. In the 1990s Asenzya’s growth accelerated and it diversified the business to serve the protein, snack food, sauces & gravies, bakery and tortillas, and frozen foods industries. Asenzya has been privileged to enjoy continued growth into the new millennium, allowing it to staff exceptional talent and build a new state-of-the-art technical center to serve the needs of its customers and the ever-changing food industry.
Ralph Hauser, one of the original founders and the subsequent owner of Asenzya, had a tremendous influence on how Asenzya does business today. Through his leadership, he taught the organization that hard work, customer satisfaction, creativity and perseverance will take you wherever you want to go. Responsive customer service and his belief that our customers and employees are our greatest assets are at the core of everything Asenzya does today.
When Ralph Hauser transitioned the business to his daughter, Patricia Goto in 1997, she remained committed to ensuring Asenzya didn’t lose sight of its history and that it honored the past while progressing into the future. That remains Asenzya’s philosophy today. As the food industry changes, Asenzya is at the forefront of innovation. This is illustrated by its portfolio of patented functional ingredients and its expanded culinary unit, which brings a new dimension to its capabilities and resources offered to its customers.
It is a great privilege to serve both current and prospective customers and Asenzya will continue to exceed the highest standards of quality products and food safety practices, along with innovation and excitement! Asenzya was acquired by Solina in November of 2021. This acquisition will only enhance and expand opportunities going forward for Asenzya and for its customers!

– Company-wide recycling program for our electronics, paper, cardboard, plastic and metal – we are glass-free
– Low energy lighting in our plant
– Pallet reconditioning and recycling
– Floor cleaning process that uses electrolyzed water which reduces the amount of cleaning fluids required while also reducing water usage by up to 70%
